Welcome to the prayer blog for January 2025!

These prayers are based on Christian faith and the scriptures are from the Bible. 

We are more than flesh and blood! We are spirit, we are light, we are love!

God hears all our desires, our hopes for the future, our dreams,
our thoughts about our most basic needs, and our cares for those closest to us. God looks at those as prayers and cares for us.

Matthew 10:29-31. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Let's keep loving and being kind so other's are helped and encouraged!

Matthew 5:16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. 

Galatians 6:9.  And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

What we are praying for:

 

 God, we pray that this New Year people everywhere will experience your love, your peace, and that they will have the inspiration, the resources, the courage and the strength to start their lives anew! We pray that they will not be afraid to let go of the things they have outgrown and start new ways of looking at their world and new ways of doing things. 

 

God, help our world leaders to serve in their positions with honour and righteousness. Help all governments to strive for peace and help them to solve the problems of climate change, disease, addiction and poverty.

God, please pour out your Spirit. Fill us with your love that we may know you!
